From high up in the Rainforest...

How did I get to be so lucky? I sometimes wonder if my constant "I'm so lucky, I love my life, blah blah blah" annoys people. Not that I really care, but I don't want to make anyone upset....
Anyway, I digress. My amazing boss has let me housesit for her. I am currently high up in the hills of West Vancouver, with a wicked view of the city, almost everything I could ever ask for (including a kick ass bottle of wine), and a kitty to keep me company.

When I was driving here I realized that Vancouver is a city of extreme highs and lows, both from the moutain tops and mega rich to the sealevel and ultra poor. Food for thought.
Also, to add to my bragging rights, i scored tickets to see the Leafs/Canucks play tomorrow. I'm one super lucky girl.
On another note, the first Mom/Tot nutrition class is this Tuesday, there will be face painting, pumpkin carving, pumpkin seed roasting and of course the nutrition/cooking segment. We're hammering out the details of the presentation.
I'm digging on this song right now. K-Os makes great music.
Okay, that's enough for tonight. Back to my wine and relaxation. Happy weekend everyone.

GO TRAILBLAZERS!

I've been looking forward to this game since July! The seats I scored are great, 20 rows back, section 102 so we'll be able to see the whole court! I'm so super excited. I haven't stopped smiling all day.

My first official Board meeting was last night, it went really well.  I learned a lot and am really excited about how everything's going so far. I'm also really excited about the nutrition/cooking classes starting next week!
I just re-read this entry and saw how much i used the word "excited," haha.
Ok, time for me to go get some lunch (by that I mean go shopping at H&M).

Wake up!

Last Saturday I woke up from a dream that I was fighting with my brother because he was playing Cold Play at full blast. I really am not a fan of ColdPlay.
Anyway, that's beside the point. I woke up with my brain going full speed. I was going to meet with Caroline and Alexa from Beauty Night about upcoming mom and tot nutrition programming. I realized that this is something i can pour my whole heart and soul into. I love nutrition, I love children, I love helping....trust me when I say that big things are going to happen with this program. Alexa is an amazing co-partner to have, and I can't even put into words helpful Caroline will be.

So. Expect a post soon about the details! And do be sure to give some support if you can, everything from a kind word to a hug is helpful!! Honestly, when you're giving a lot, anything given back at all is so meaningful.

much love.

Thanks

I really have a ridiculous amount of things to give my thanks for.
My amazing family, who have supported me through the bad times, and made me want to push to be a better person.
I've built up some great friendships this year, with some really amazing people. I've had friends see me through phone throwing temper tantrums, crying over silly songs, and helping me be comfortable with myself.
I'm thankful for having such a great roommate.
I am thankful for my awesome job at a kick ass company that values me and allows me to grow.
I am thankful for Beauty Night giving me the chance to sit on the Board of Directors and help with the programming.
I am thankful for my freedom. And for being Canadian.
I wish that giving thanks everyday was the norm, then maybe people would nuture the good in their lives and help heal the bad.
I also posted on the Beauty Night Blog, go check it out.
happy thanksgiving =)

easy

"Easy" by Deertick is one of my top songs right now.
That's what I want...easy. I don't enjoy drama, I don't enjoy people talking about each other behind their backs, I don't enjoy people expecting me to know something without being told. I do enjoy being loved, I do enjoy friendships that are mutually give and take and I do enjoy learning new things. I give without expecting, but that does not mean that I deserve to be taken for granted.
I am not perfect, I am wrong about many things. Isn't almost everyone though?

I am in need of downtime. I hate needing appreciation, and the fact that I'm not always strong.

I miss my family.

It really hasn't been the best weekend. However, things will turn around, they always do, I just need some time to dwell on what changes I need to make in my life.
